Tuning modules for e-bikes from a wide range of manufacturers are offered under the brand name SpeedBox - e.g. for models from Bosch, Yamaha, Shimano, Brose, Panasonic and Bafang. The SpeedBox is developed and produced by EBike Electronic from the Czech Republic. These processor-controlled tuning tools cancel out the maximum motor support of the respective e-bikes. However, the SpeedBox 1.0 has the small disadvantage that the e-bike display only shows half of the actual speed when tuned. This problem no longer exists with the new SpeedBox 2.0 (and SpeedBox 3.0) - with these tuning tools, most values are displayed correctly (current speed, range, daily distance travelled, maximum and average speed, etc.). The SpeedBox 2.0 can be conveniently switched on or off via the control buttons of the e-bikes (depending on the drive via walk or light button). With the new SpeedBox 3.0 for Bosch Gen4 motors, the maximum speed can even be set to an individually selected value. The SpeedBox "B" products can also be combined with an app, which considerably expands the range of functions.
The installation of all SpeedBox tuning devices is carried out via the original connection plugs, whereby an accidental misconnection - thanks to form-fitting connection plugs - is practically impossible. The SpeedBox modules can be easily installed by the user, no diagnosis is necessary during installation. According to the manufacturer, only high-quality electrical components from world-renowned manufacturers are used in the SpeedBox tuning tools. The microcomputer that controls the SpeedBox was even originally certified for the automotive industry!
