SpeedBox 3.1 for Yamaha PW-X3, PW-S2

This tuning tool not only removes the 25 km/h speed limit of Yamaha PW-X3 & PW-S2 motors completely, you can even set the maximum speed individually.

It is a 3rd generation tuning module that can be conveniently switched on and off via the bike's control buttons. Even when tuning is active, the display shows real values.

You do not need a PC or smartphone to operate the SpeedBox 3.1 module.

Advantages of the SpeedBox 3.1 module at a glance

-25 km/h speed limit is removed.

-Maximum speed can be set individually: You can set the maximum supported speed by first switching the mode three levels down and then three levels up. The current speed limit is then displayed. You can now change the maximum speed by briefly pressing the light button or turning the rear wheel 360°. After five seconds of inactivity, the last displayed speed limit is saved.

-Correct values in the e-bike display: Even with activated tuning, the display shows correct values, e.g. maximum speed, average speed, range and daily distance.

-The tuning can be switched on and off: Activate the tuning module by pressing the light button or the key combination ↑↓↑↓ (or +-+-) on the display. To confirm that the tuning has been activated and the speed limit has been lifted, the display will briefly show 99 km/h. If you want to switch off the tuning, press the light button again. The display will then briefly show 25 km/h - this signals that the tuning has been cancelled and the motor support ends at 25 km/h again.

-The SpeedBox 3.1 module does not need its own battery.

Installation

The SpeedBox 3.1 is a chip or module that must be connected to the engine (see illustration). This means that you have to gain access to the corresponding connections at the engine. To simplify the installation, coloured plugs are used that have been equipped with a key for the correct connection. You can also install the module yourself.

If you want to restore the e-bike to its original state at some point, you can uninstall the chip at any time.

Important notes:

If you want to install the SpeedBox 3.1 in a brand new Yamaha e-bike, you must first ride the bike for at least 1 km before starting the module for the first time.

If you want to update the software of your e-bike, you must first uninstall the SpeedBox from the e-bike. After the update, install the SpeedBox again.

SpeedBox 3.1 for Yamaha PW-X3, PW-S2 - Compatibility

This tuning module is only compatible with Yamaha PW-X3 & PW-S2 e-bike drive systems.

Not compatible with Yamaha:

PW-SE, PW-X, PW-TE, PW-CE, PW-X2.

If you have one of these non-compatible motors, you need the "SpeedBox 3.0 for Yamaha".

Not compatible with the SpeedBox app.
