SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning for Shimano E8000, E7000, E6100, E5000 (with app)

This is a tuning chip that removes the 25 km/h speed limit of e-bikes from the Shimano E-series. This allows much faster riding with full motor support. Unlike the "normal" SpeedBox 1.2 for Shimano, this "B.Tuning" version is compatible with the SpeedBox app, which offers various advantages - e.g. you can adjust the maximum speed according to your preferences. The connection between the chip and the smartphone app is done wirelessly via Bluetooth.

After installing the SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning Chip, the e-bike display will only show the correct speed up to a speed of 23 km/h. This is not a problem, however, as you can easily view the real data via the SpeedBox app. We therefore recommend simply attaching the smartphone to the handlebar using special holders. Then you can always keep an eye on all the riding parameters.

Compared to the previous versions, the new SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning has been completely revised, including a new design and new hardware and firmware. Bluetooth technology has also been added to connect the e-bike and smartphone app with each other.

Note: If you have a Shimano e-bike without a free E-Tube connection (for example a bike with Di2 gear shift), please select the "+E-Tube Port" variant. This is usually the case for Shimano e-bikes with one of the following components:

-E5000 motor

-Satellite System ON/OFF Switch

-Di2 derailleur gears

Tuning can be switched on and off

The tuning chip can be controlled via the SpeedBox app or alternatively via the light button on the e-bike. When the light is switched off, the tuning is active and you can ride at unlimited speed (light off = tuning on). When you switch the light on again, the tuning is deactivated and the motor support ends again at 25 km/h (light on = tuning off). A completely new feature of this version is the possibility to activate the double-click function in the app (only for displays that have a light button). This function has the advantage that the light function becomes independent of the tuning: By double-clicking the light button, the lights flash and the tuning is activated. Another double-click deactivates the tuning again and the e-bike functions as it would normally.

-Monitor and record riding parameters and performance.

-Individual rides can be saved and compared with friends, for example.

-Double-click tuning control" can be activated via the app (only works on displays with light button).

Installation

SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning is a chip (module) that must be connected to the engine. For installation, therefore, the plastic cover must be temporarily removed to gain access to the corresponding connectors.

Only original connectors are used in the production of the SpeedBox chips for the easiest possible installation.

SpeedBox App

If you want to restore the e-bike to its original condition, the chip can be removed at any time.

Important note: If you want to install the SpeedBox chip in a brand new e-bike, you must first ride the bike for at least 1 km before starting the chip for the first time.

Tip: Before you order this tuning tool, you should first download the SpeedBox app onto your smartphone. Simply try out the demo version and test whether the app works on your mobile phone.

If the app does not work on your smartphone, you can also use the normal SpeedBox 1.2 for Shimano (not app-enabled).

SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning for Shimano - Compatibility

This tuning tool is compatible with the following Shimano e-bike motors:

E8000, E7000, E6100, E5000.

Compatible with the SpeedBox App.

Smartphone requirement: Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.

Not compatible with e-bikes with Di2 (electronic gear shift).

Not compatible with Satellite System ON/OFF Switch (EW-SW100, EW-SW300).

Note: If you have a Shimano e-bike without a free E-Tube connection (for example a bike with Di2), please select the "+E-Tube Port" variant. This is usually the case for Shimano e-bikes with one of the following components:
