The Impulse motor series was widely used in e-bikes from brands like Kalkhoff and Focus. Variants include the Impulse 1, Impulse 2, Impulse EVO, and the high-performance Impulse EVO RS. These drives were especially popular in the early 2010s and are still in use today.
A range of hardware-based tuning tools has been developed for Impulse motors – including trusted solutions like the Sx2 Dongle, the Badass Box, and tuning modules from SpeedBox. These products increase the speed limit of the motor and restore its full potential.
