Note: This SpeedBox tuning chip is intended for Shimano EP8 e-bikes without a free e-tube port - these are usually e-bikes with one of these components:

-Satellite System ON/OFF Switch

-Di2 derailleur gears

SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning combines the proven SpeedBox 1.3 tuning chip with the practical SpeedBox app, so that you benefit from numerous attractive additional features.

The core function of the tuning chip is, of course, the removal of the 25 km/h speed limit, so that you can ride much faster with full engine support. Thanks to the app, you even have the option of setting the maximal speed to an individual value. You can also use the app to display various riding parameters, save routes and monitor your performance.

The connection between the app and the tuning chip is done wirelessly via Bluetooth technology.

Important note: The manufacturer recommends not exceeding a speed of 35 km/h to avoid error W011. For B.Tuning models, the maximum speed can be set accordingly in the SpeedBox app.

Please note: After installing the SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning Chip, the e-bike display will only show correct values up to 23 km/h. However, you can easily view the correct data, such as the current speed, via the SpeedBox app. We therefore recommend attaching your smartphone to the handlebars while riding so that you have a good view of all the data. You can find matching mounts in our shop.

Tuning can be switched on and off

You can easily switch the tuning on and off via the app or with the light switch at your e-bike. If the lights are off, the tuning is activated. If you switch the lights on, the tuning is deactivated.

However, a completely new feature of this version is the possibility to activate the tuning via a double-click function in the app. Thanks to this function, the lighting is completely independent of the tuning. By double-clicking the light button, the lights flash and the tuning is activated. With another double-click, the tuning is switched off again and the e-bike functions again as if no tuning chip had been installed.

Installation

The SpeedBox 1.3 for Shimano EP8 is a module or chip that normally has to be plugged into the E-Tube connection ("E-Tube Port") of the motor. This version of the chip (SpeedBox 1.3 B.Tuning for Shimano EP8 "+E-Tube Port") is intended for models that do not have a free E-Tube connection.

The module is connected using the original plugs. With a little skill, you can install the tool yourself, and if necessary, uninstall it again.

Please note: If you install the SpeedBox chip in a brand new e-bike, you must first ride the e-bike for at least 1 km before starting the tuning chip for the first time.

-Compatible with Shimano EP8 / EP800 e-bike motors.

-Compatible with Giant Revolt E+ e-bikes from 2022/2023 with EP8 motors.

Important: This version of the SpeedBox tuning chip ("+E-Tube Port") is intended for Shimano EP8 e-bikes without a free e-tube connection - these are often e-bikes with one of the following components:

-E-bikes with Di2 derailleur.

-E-bikes with a Satellite System ON/OFF Switch (EW-SW100 / EW-SW300) integrated in the frame.

-The tool is compatible with the SpeedBox app.

Important: Only compatible with EP-8(00) - Not compatible with EP-801 !
