sIMPLEk - E-Bike Tuning Modules & Dongles as ready-made products or inexpensive kits
Under the name sIMPLEk, various tuning modules and dongles ("sticks") are offered that are unusual in some respects. First of all, it has to be said that the original sIMPLEk tuning tools were delivered in the form of kits for self-assembly. Since a soldering iron had to be used for the assembly, a little tinkering was required, but these tuning solutions were (or are) very reasonably priced. In the meantime, however, both the sIMPLEk modules and the dongles are available in somewhat more expensive "Pro versions" as ready-made products. You no longer need to assemble these yourself; you can attach them directly to the e-bike.
With both the permanently installed sIMPLEk modules and the plug-in sIMPLEk dongles, the 25 km/h speed limit can be completely waived. The tools are available for e-bikes of various brands, e.g. for Bosch, Yamaha, etc. By the way, the sIMPLEk stick was the first tuning dongle where the correct speed could still be read on the display!
The sIMPLEk stick can be activated / deactivated at any time by simply plugging in or removing the stick after installing the appropriate cable set. The sIMPLEk module, on the other hand, is installed in the engine housing and can be activated by means of certain key sequences when the bike is started up.
With both tuning tools (module and stick), the current speed is correctly displayed, but via the second digit of the display and the decimal place - a display of 13.5 km/h would then correspond to 35 km/h in reality, etc.
A real highlight is the sIMPLEk ECOplus Stick - this is an innovative tuning tool that has never existed in this form before. The ECOplus Stick does NOT increase the maximum motor-assisted speed, but extends the range of the e-bike by up to 20 percent! This works by gradually reducing the motor assistance at a constant speed. All sIMPLEk products are Made in Germany.
Three different sIMPLEk solutions
1) sIMPLEk kit / modules
We have the sIMPLEk tuning kit for Bosch e-bike drives (Bosch Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 & Gen4), Impulse (kit with plug coupling, kit without plug coupling), Yamaha, and for Bafang Mid Drive in our range. They all completely remove the speed limit. Caution: Manual dexterity is required here.
2) sIMPLEk stick
The sIMPLEk Stick is the first dongle with correct speed on the e-bike display. It is available for Bosch drives (Bosch Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 & Gen4), as well as for Yamaha (PW, PW-SE, PW-X) and Brose motors. The solutions completely remove the speed limit.
3) sIMPLEk stick ECOplus
The sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus works differently: This tool maximises the range by slowly reducing the motor assistance - while maintaining the same speed. This leads to a maximisation of the range of up to 20%. The speed limit is not shifted in this process. The ECOplus dongle is available for Bosch drives (Bosch Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 & Gen4), as well as for Yamaha (PW, PW-SE, PW-X) and Brose motors.

sIMPLEk Stick Pro - The sIMPLEk dongle as a finished product
If you don't feel like assembling the sIMPLEk dongle yourself, we recommend the new Pro version. Here, the dongle is delivered completely assembled so that you can connect it directly to the e-bike. Apart from that, the Pro version has all the advantages that you already knew from the original sIMPLEk stick: The speed limit is completely removed and the installation is very simple. The actual speed remains readable, albeit via the second digit and the decimal place of the speed display. As it is a dongle with USB connection, the tuning hardware can be removed within seconds.
Available for the following e-bike drives: Bosch (Bosch Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 & Gen4), Yamaha (PW, PW-SE, PW-X, GIANT SyncDrive), Brose.
The sIMPLEk Stick Pro for Bosch Smart System e-bikes is definitely worth mentioning. This is a practical dongle solution that even allows the correct speed to be read.
sIMPLEk Pro - The sIMPLEk module as a finished product
The popular sIMPLEk tuning module is now also available as a finished product - so you don't have to assemble the "Pro" version yourself before connecting the module to the engine. Otherwise, everything remains the same as with the original sIMPLEk module: The speed limit is completely removed, and after the simple installation, the module is no longer visible from the outside. The real speed remains readable, albeit via the second digit and the decimal place of the speed display.
Available for the following e-bike drives: Bosch (Bosch Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 & Gen4), Bafang, Yamaha (PW, PW-SE, PW-X, GIANT SyncDrive), Brose, Impulse (2.0, EVO, EVO RS) and Shimano. (E5000, E6100, E7000, E8000) and Shimano EP8 with Di2.
New: The sIMPLEk Pro for Bosch - Nano Edition combines the Standard Edition with the Stealth Edition (the Stealth Mode is used to avoid error messages and tuning detection; it can be activated or deactivated at any time via the menu).
sIMPLEk Pro for Bosch Smart System 2022 (BES3)
The sIMPLEk Pro for Bosch Smart System 2022 (BES3) is new. A special version was released in the "Stealth" version. In this version, the maximum speed was limited to 37.5 km/h - this has the advantage that the probability of error messages is extremely low.
We also recommend the sIMPLEk Pro for Bosch Gen4 Smart System - Nano Edition, which combines the standard version of the module with the Stealth Edition. The Stealth mode can then be activated / deactivated at any time via the menu.
Brand new is the "sIMPLEk Stick Pro for Bosch Smart System Tuning Dongle" - one of the very few dongle solutions for Bosch Smart System e-bikes so far. Dongles have the fundamental advantage that all tuning-relevant parts can be conveniently removed from the bike within seconds.
With all sIMPLEk tuning tools for Bosch Smart System drives, the real speed remains readable, albeit via the second digit and the decimal place of the speedometer.
