SpeedBox 3.0 for Specialized (incl. Specialized SL)
This tuning module can be used to optimise Specialized e-bike motors (including Specialized SL drives). The 25 km/h speed limit is cancelled, and the speed limit can even be set individually. This enables much faster riding with full motor support. The module is controlled via the e-bike's control buttons.
Despite active tuning, the e-bike display continues to show correct data - e.g. the current speed, average and maximum speed, distance and range.
The module is easy to install, as it does not have to be installed in the motor compartment, but under the TCU unit in the frame.
Tuning is activated by switching the e-bike off and on twice in succession. After installation, the e-bike display initially shows the preset assistance speed of 50 km/h. The tuning then remains permanently active.
The SpeedBox 3.0 module does not require its own battery.
Setting the maximum speed
The maximum speed can be set by first switching the modes from TURBO mode three steps down and then three steps up again: TURBO-TRAIL-ECO-OFF-ECO-TRAIL-TURBO. The display then shows a preset value of 25 km/h (rounding to whole numbers is possible with some display types).
The maximum assistance speed can now be increased in 5 km/h increments by briefly pressing the WALK button. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the last displayed limit is automatically saved. Now the set limit only needs to be confirmed by switching the e-bike off and on.
The current max speed can be checked using the +-+- button combination.
Even the wheel circumference can be set using the bike's operating buttons.
Installation
The SpeedBox 3.0 is not installed in the engine compartment, as is the case with other tuning modules, but in the frame of the e-bike under the TCU/TCD unit. This makes installation much easier.
Colour plugs equipped with a key for correct connection are used for connection to the e-bike.

Important: If you install a SpeedBox in a brand new e-bike, you must first ride the bike for at least 10 kilometres before activating the tuning for the first time.
-If you want to uninstall the SpeedBox again, the Max Speed must be reset to 25 km/h beforehand.
If you want to update the software of the Specialized E-Bike, the following procedure is recommended:
-Firstly, the max speed must be set to 25 km/h by gradually changing the mode three steps down and then three steps up. To confirm the setting, the e-bike must be switched off and on again twice.
-The e-bike must now be switched off again.
-Then remove the SpeedBox from the frame of the E-Bike.
-The software can now be updated.
-Then reinstall the SpeedBox and activate it by switching the E-Bike off and on twice.
Note: However, we strongly advise against updating the software, as the tuning may no longer work properly afterwards.

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer
Please transfer the total amount with your order number to our account which you received in the confirmation email. Please note that bank transfers within Germany can take up to three working days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.
Payment in advance Paypal
At the end of the order process you will be redirected to the page of Paypal. There you can initiate your payment. As soon as the Paypal transaction is completed, the status of your order will change in the store. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.

Important: Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads. Legally permissible use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Driving an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license as well as driving without insurance coverage. Tuning measures on the e-bike and e-scooter can lead to a loss of warranty rights and manufacturer warranties. In addition, tuning measures can lead to a loss of insurance coverage and accident victim assistance benefits in the event of accidents. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is exposed to an additional load due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
