SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch Smart System (BES3)
The latest version of the SpeedBox for Bosch Smart System e-bikes - now even less sensitive to tuning detection than ever before!
Attention: We strongly advise against downloading the new Bosch engine software update 11.13.0, as this can lead to incompatibilities with SpeedBox Tuning. Please note that the warranty for SpeedBox products does not cover malfunctions caused by updating the engine. So please do not install any Bosch updates!
This tuning tool removes the 25 km/h speed limit of Bosch Smart System e-bikes completely. This means that thanks to this tuning tool, you can ride much faster than before with full motor support. That allows you to finally utilise the full potential of your powerful Bosch drive.
Note: With the SpeedBox 1.1, the desired maximum speed can be individually adjusted. However, it is not recommended to set the maximum speed higher than 35 km/h. Setting values above 35 km/h is at your own risk, as the Bosch anti-tuning software could kick in!
Important: The SpeedBox 1.1 for Bosch Smart System (BES3) replaces the SpeedBox 1.0 for Bosch Smart System (BES3).
The SpeedBox 1.1 is a module or chip that must be connected directly to the connectors on the motor.
Please note that your e-bike display will NO longer show correct values (current speed etc.) when tuning is active.
The total distance will be displayed correctly, but only after a countdown (deduction of kilometres) at the end of the ride.
Our tip: If you want to view the correct speed and all riding data during your ride, we recommend this tuning tool in the B.Tuning version, which is also compatible with the practical SpeedBox app. You can then use the app to view the correct riding data on your smartphone display while cycling (you can find suitable smartphone mounts for the handlebars in our shop).
Tuning can be switched on and off
After connecting the chip, the tuning can be switched on and off very easily using the operating buttons on the e-bike.
Tuning can be switched on and off by pressing the WALK button (hold down the "-" button). A short message appears on the E-Bike display to confirm this: "3.5" = SpeedBox ON / "2.5" = SpeedBox OFF. Note: Switching on and off should not be carried out while riding.
On Bosch e-bikes where the WALK function is not available or not activated, tuning can also be activated / deactivated using the -+-+ button combination.
The manufacturer recommends leaving the e-bike switched on for a while after the end of the ride until the SpeedBox has completed the "countdown" (this is indicated by the ride time continuing on the display until it stops and the correct ride distance is displayed) in order to avoid tuning detection.
Setting the maximum speed
The maximum supported speed can be changed by switching the modes from TURBO mode three steps down and then three steps up: eMTB - TOUR+ - ECO - TOUR+ - eMTB - TURBO. The current speed limit is then displayed. You can now adjust the maximum speed by briefly pressing the WALK button or by turning the rear wheel 360°. A displayed speed of 2.5 km/h corresponds to a maximum speed of 25 km/h, 3.0 km/h would correspond to 30 km/h and 3.5 km/h would be 35 km/h, etc. The last displayed speed limit is automatically saved after 15 seconds of inactivity.
A maximum speed of 35 km/h should not be exceeded in order to avoid tuning detection by the Bosch system!
Installation
The SpeedBox 1.1 must be connected to the plug connections on the motor (to gain access to the plug connections, you must temporarily remove the motor cover). To simplify the connection, only original plugs are used in the production of the chip.
Important: The male and female connectors must be connected in the direction of the lock. Do not rotate the connectors during connection!
To activate all the functions of the SpeedBox correctly, it is necessary to enter the menu after the first switching on of your E-Bike after the tuning installation and switch to the circumference of the wheel of your bike.
The SpeedBox does not require its own battery.
Please note: If you want to install the SpeedBox 1.1 chip in a brand new E-Bike, you must first ride at least 10 km on the E-Bike before activating the tuning chip for the first time.
If necessary, the tuning chip can be removed at any time to restore the e-bike to its original condition.

A few more tips:
-Please do not carry out any Bosch updates after installing and using a tuning tool! Compatibility may no longer be guaranteed afterwards!
-During short breaks, you should keep one foot on the pedal to prevent the "countdown" triggering process from starting so that you can continue riding seamlessly.
For longer stops, you should allow at least a partial "countdown" (kilometre deduction) to run through.
-Do not remove the display from the E-Bike until the "countdown" is complete (the countdown can take several minutes after a long ride).
-Switching the tuning on and off should always be done before and not during the ride.
-The manufacturer recommends not exceeding a maximum speed of 35 km/h.

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer
Please transfer the total amount with your order number to our account which you received in the confirmation email. Please note that bank transfers within Germany can take up to three working days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.
Payment in advance Paypal
At the end of the order process you will be redirected to the page of Paypal. There you can initiate your payment. As soon as the Paypal transaction is completed, the status of your order will change in the store. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
