he PearTune MSO 4.0 V2 removes the 25 km/h speed limit of Bosch Smart System e-bikes allowing you to ride much faster with full motor support. Incidentally, ‘MSO’ stands for nothing other than ‘Max Speed Off’.

Important: Compatible with LED-Remote software version 11.9.3 and firmware 11.13.0. Also compatible with firmware 12.13.0. Nevertheless, do not carry out any further software updates to the drive system. This may impair the function of the tuning system.

You do not need a PC or smartphone to operate the tuning. You can switch the tuning on and off at any time using the control buttons on your bike.

In contrast to PearTune 3.0, PearTune 4.0 has a number of advantages that make this tuning tool even more attractive. For example, the service menu gives you the option of

-Setting the maximum supported speed to an individual value using the e-bike's operating buttons.

-Setting an individual activation code.

-IUsing the ‘chip lock’ function. This allows you to make the tuning module virtually ‘invisible’ to outsiders. In this case, the e-bike will function normally and the tuning can no longer be activated temporarily.

Correct speed remains visible

If the tuning chip has been activated, your E-Bike display will show the correct speed up to 22.9 km/h. At higher values, the correct speed remains visible, albeit via the second digit and the decimal place of the speed display. This means that a displayed speed of 23.3 km/h would actually correspond to 33 km/h, a display of 24.0 km/h would correspond to 40 km/h, etc.

All other values are shown correctly in the E-Bike display.

The PearTune MSO 4.0 is a module that must be installed between the motor and speed sensor and between the motor and speedometer (display). To gain access to the required plug connections, the plastic cover of the motor must be removed briefly during installation.

Important: If you want to use the PearTune module on a brand new e-bike, you should first ride the bike for at least 1 km before installing the tuning.

-Removal of the speed limit.

-Maximum speed can be set individually: For the first time, the maximum motor support can be set individually using the + and - buttons, in 1 km/h increments.

-The correct speed remains visible on the display, albeit (from 22.9 km/h) via the second digit and the decimal place.

-Chip lock (‘Lock the chip’ function): A feature that can be used to make the tuning module ‘invisible’. If the chip lock is activated using the + and - buttons on the control element, the tuning chip is locked on the software side so that nobody can recognise that a tuning tool has been installed on the E-Bike. This means that the e-bike and display function as normal and tuning can no longer be activated. The chip lock can only be deactivated later, again using a specific + and - key combination.

-Tuning can be activated / deactivated: You can switch the tuning on and off as you wish using the + & - buttons on your e-bike (++-- or +-+- or --++ or -+-+). The display shows you whether tuning has been activated or deactivated (short display of approx. 19.0 km/h = tuning active / short display of approx. 12 km/h = tuning deactivated).

-Activation code can be set individually: With PearTune 4.0, it is possible to set an individual activation code via the service menu - e.g. by pressing and holding the light button once or twice.

-Tuning status when switching on: With the PearTune 4.0, you can set whether the tuning should be automatically ON or OFF when the e-bike is switched on.

-Chip reset: If you want to replace the speed sensor or use the tuning chip on another e-bike, you can reset the chip. When resetting, you can restore the factory settings or alternatively retain the chip settings.

-It is possible to switch between the NORMAL version and the STILL ON version (with the STILL ON version, tuning is always active as soon as the e-bike is switched on).

  The PearTune module does not require its own battery.

-Plug & Play: The module configures itself after installation.

-Small & light: The module is very small and is therefore easy to install. The weight of the tuning parts is just 10 - 18 g.

-Waterproof original plugs for connection to the engine and moisture-proof PearTune plugs for connection to the display and speed sensor ensure a secure connection.

-Bosch Smart System e-bikes with mid-motors from 2022 onwards (also referred to as ‘Bosch BES3’)

-Compatible with LED Remote software version 11.9.3 and Drive Unit firmware 11.13.0. Also compatible with firmware 12.13.0.

Attention: Please do not carry out any Bosch updates after installing and using this tuning module! Compatibility may then no longer be guaranteed!

Important: Not compatible with e-bikes with rim magnet! These sensors are installed deep in the motor and cannot be optimised with this module (rim magnets can be recognised by the large magnet on the rear wheel valve).
