The MBIQ-P is a microcontroller-based tuning chip for removing the 25 km/h speed limit of e-bikes with Bosch Smart System mid-mounted motors.
By unlocking the speed limit, the full potential of Bosch Smart System motors can be utilized, enabling much faster riding with full motor support.
As the MBIQ-P is a plug-in plug-in solution in the form of a module or chip, installation is simple. The tool simply has to be plugged in between the speed sensor and the engine control unit. However, to do this, you have to gain access to the plug connections on the motor - for this purpose, the motor cover has to be temporarily removed (sometimes also a pedal crank).
The electronics of the MBIQ-P are encapsulated in the housing and therefore safely protected against moisture (IPX4 in accordance with EN 60529).
This tuning tool is programmable to a certain extent, allowing the tuning to be activated/deactivated as required. In addition, the maximum speed can be set individually.
Note: When tuning is active, the e-bike display will no longer show any real values from approx. 22 km/h upwards. Instead, the speed display is "frozen" at higher values so that the same value is always displayed (the MBIQ-P does not "halve the speed", as is the case with some other tuning tools).
The total kilometres are also correspondingly lower for tuned journeys.
Our recommendation: The MTT SmartChip V2 is an extension of the MBIQ-P tuning chip with a particularly low error rate!
How it works
After installation, the MBIQ-P analyzes the current speed profile and transmits manipulated values. This makes it possible to exceed the factory-set 25 km/h speed limit.
The MBIQ-P does not intervene directly in the system; the evaluation of the engine software is not affected by the manipulated values.
The MBIQ-P does not require its own battery; power is supplied via the e-bike.
Three different operating modes
Programming is done by means of certain wheel movements when the e-bike is started up, whereby the spoke magnet must be moved past the sensor. The programming is controlled via the e-bike display. This means that neither a PC nor a smartphone is required for programming.
Three different operating modes can be set during programming:
-Tuning permanently activated (factory setting): Speed limit is removed, no correct speed display from approx. 22 km/h onwards.
.Tuning permanently deactivated: Motor support only up to 25 km/h, correct speed display.
-Tuning according to switch-on condition / tuning switchable: Here you can use the magnet to determine whether the tuning should be on or off when the e-bike is started up (to activate the tuning, the magnet must be in front of the sensor for at least 4 seconds during start-up, otherwise the tuning remains deactivated).
In addition, the maximum assisted speed can also be set individually (also by means of certain wheel movements when the bike is switched on). More detailed information can be found in the instructions.
When delivered, the MBIQ-P module is always in the "Tuning permanently active" mode with the highest support level.

Important:
-Not compatible with e-bikes that have a magnet on the valve (rim magnet). In this case, you will need the RimBoost.
-Not compatible with Bosch e-bikes with ABS system.
Attention: Please do not carry out any Bosch updates after installing and using a tuning! Compatibility may then no longer be guaranteed!

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer

Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.
