The sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is the first tuning tool with which you can tune the range of your e-bike. This tuning tool does not remove the 25 km/h speed limit of the motor support, but provides a significant increase in range (up to 20 percent). The sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is therefore the optimal tuning tool if you want to ride a very long distance on your e-bike or simply want to avoid running out of power on the road.

The way the sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus works is as simple as it is ingenious:

The built-in sIMPLEk ECOplus Stick causes a phased reduction of the factory-integrated speed limit of the motor assistance.

This means that as soon as the ECOplus Stick for Yamaha detects a constant speed, the engine support is gradually switched off. If the speed falls below a certain value or exceeds a certain period of time, the engine support is switched on again creepingly. This procedure results in a significantly increased range, as more muscle power is demanded from the driver. Overall, an energy saving of up to 20 percent can be assumed in ECOplus mode.

Incidentally, the 25 km/h limit for motor assistance remains completely unaffected.

You have the option of attaching the sIMPLEk ECOplus stick to a position of your choice on your e-bike - the most practical would be to attach it directly to the handlebars.

Note: The sIMPLEk ECOplus stick is supplied in the form of a kit that you first have to assemble yourself. However, since there are only 4 components, namely the circuit board, USB connector, housing and connecting cable, the assembly is quite simple. The installation is also simplified because the board is already equipped with the necessary SMD components when delivered. In principle, you only have to insert the USB connector on the board and solder it (with the help of a soldering iron, of course). Then you only have to insert the board with the USB connector into the USB housing supplied.

sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus for Yamaha - Installation

The installation of the sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus is uncomplicated. The connection cable of the sIMPLEk Stick ECOplus must be connected in front of the original sensor of the e-bike. To do this, first remove the stone guard and then loosen the screws of the motor until it can be swung out of the frame. This will give you access to the connectors. You must then unplug the speed sensor and connect the sIMPLEk between the motor and the speed sensor.

Fix the motor again and replace the screws you removed earlier. Now you only have to lay the USB connection cable to the desired position of the SIMPLEk stick and fix it with the help of the cable ties provided. It is best to attach the stick directly to the handlebar so that you can plug it in or remove it at any time.

To activate the ECOplus mode, simply plug in the sIMPLEk stick - and the range of your e-bike is significantly increased!

Even when ECOplus mode is activated, the correct speed can still be read on the e-bike display. Up to a speed of 30 km/h, the current speed is indicated 1:1. Above this speed or when the motor assistance is disengaged, the current speed is shown via the second digit and the decimal place of the display. Here are a few examples:

17 km/h on the display = 17 km/h in reality.

31.8 km/h on the display = 18 km/h in reality

33.5 km/h on the display = 35 km/h in reality

Note: When using this tuning tool for the first time, a one-time calibration is necessary so that the actual speed for each wheel circumference is displayed in the active ECOplus mode.
