MBevo Ebike Tuning for Brose / Specialized (Levo) mid-mounted motors

With this practical plug-in solution you can completely remove the factory speed limit of many Specialized / Brose e-bike motors. There is no longer a 25 km/h speed limit and you can ride much faster with full motor support. In this way, the enormous potential of your Brose / Specialized e-bike can finally be used to 100%.

The functional scope of this tuning tool is limited to the absolute essentials, namely the removal of the annoying 25 km/h speed limit. There are no further functions - but since the MBevo is programmable, you can switch the tuning on and off as required.

The MBevo is completely maintenance-free and does not require its own power supply or battery.

Simple installation

For installation, the tool simply needs to be inserted into the existing sensor line between the speed sensor and the motor (of course, the motor cover must be removed first). Suitable connectors are provided. Since the MBevo requires very little installation space, it can be stowed away compactly without any problems. If you want to restore your e-bike to its original condition, you can remove the tool at any time.

How it works

The MBevo tuning is based on a fixed division of the actual speed impulses by a factor of 2 or 3 (depending on the programming). The transmitted speed is thus lower, so that the factory-set speed limit is cancelled.

Note: Since the division only starts from a speed of 6 km/h, the WALK mode of the e-bike is still supported. This means that you do not have to do without the practical push assistance, even with active tuning.

Customer programmable

This tuning tool is programmable by the customer after installation. Programming is done by means of specific, sequential wheel movements when the e-bike is started up. The respective mode can then be read and set as a speed value on the display (or an APP).

With the MBevo, you have the option of setting the speed divider to a factor of 2 or 3. You can also permanently deactivate or permanently activate the tuning - in this case, the tuning is always inactive or active as soon as you switch on the e-bike. Alternatively, you can also set the mode "Tuning according to switch-on condition":

-Permanent tuning deactivated: Maximum speed up to 25 km/h. Correct speed display.

-Permanent tuning activated (factory setting): Speed limit removed, the speed travelled is displayed divided by the selected factor 2 or 3. Wrong speed shown on the e-bike display when tuning is active!

-Tuning after power-up condition: Here you can decide spontaneously when starting up the e-bike whether the tuning should be active or not. To activate the tuning, the magnet must be in front of the sensor for at least 4 seconds when the system is started, otherwise the tuning remains inactive (the magnet is either on a rear wheel spoke or on the brake disc).

Correct speed display possible via BLEvo App

As already mentioned, when tuning is active, your e-bike display will only show the speed divided by the (selected) value 2 or 3.

However, you can have the correct speed displayed on your smartphone using the BLEvo app (by Paolo Dozio). This app is equipped with an adjustable multiplier that converts the divided speed back into the actual speed.
