GreenPed: Tuning Tool for Yamaha GIANT Syncdrive Sport Drives with RideControl SPORT

The GreenPed tuning module is a variant of the well-known BluePed module especially for e-bikes with Syncdrive Sport drives, such as those used on GIANT models. With this tuning tool, you can set the maximum motor assistance on GIANT e-bikes to a value of your choice, from 15 km/h upwards. The 25 km/h speed limit does not apply. The GreenPed has the great advantage that the display always shows the correct speed (even when tuning is activated). Just like the well-known BluePed module, the GreenPed module can also be conveniently controlled via a free smartphone app (Android + iPhone). For this reason, the GreenPed module offers far more setting options than most other tuning tools. For example, you can set the wheel circumference individually or protect the GreenPed module from unauthorised access by defining your own key code.

You can activate the tuning at any time via the light or menu buttons of the e-bike or via the smartphone app using a key code (individually adjustable). The original function of the light switch remains unchanged.

What data does the GreenPed app display?

As already mentioned, the GIANT display still shows all values correctly with the GreenPed Tuning (current speed etc.) - however, we recommend the smartphone app, as it shows you much more data:

- Current speed
- Maximum speed
- Average speed
- Current distance covered
- Total distance
- Driving time
- Range (remaining kilometres with motor support)
- Battery status
- Battery cycles
- Temperature of the chip
- Current battery charge level in percent divided by Ø per KM (B-Reichw.)
- Support level
- Current power (PWR)
- Average power (ØPWR)
- Percentage of battery per KM travelled (% per KM)
- Average of the last 5 KM (Ø % per KM)

The GreenPed module is compatible with:

- Syncdrive Sport e-bike motors (e.g. GIANT) with the 245-FLCD28-16V display (indicated on the back of the display).


Important note: In principle, you only need the GreenPed App to make the necessary settings on the GreenPed Tuning Module. Once this is done, you can use the module without your smartphone - after all, the tuning tool can also be activated via the light or menu buttons of the e-bike. So you don't have to take your smartphone with you every time you want to go for a ride on your e-bike. Of course, you can adjust the settings of the GreenPed module at any time or cancel the tuning completely.

The GreenPed module was specially designed to make installation as simple and straightforward as possible. The necessary tools are even included in the delivery! No cables need to be damaged during installation - you can restore your e-bike to its original condition at any time.

The communication between the smartphone app and the GreenPed module is completely wireless via Bluetooth 4.0.

Installing the Tuning Module is relatively easy. Since no cables need to be damaged during installation, you can restore your e-bike to its original condition at any time.
