Badass Box 4 for Panasonic e-bikes

Attention: Please compare the speed sensor of your e-bike with the illustration above! Please note that only the speed sensor on the right is compatible.

If you have the left (pin-shaped) sensor, you need the Badass Box Panasonic CS Set, for the sensor in the middle you need the Badass Box 4 Panasonic 2020.

Finally, the popular Badass Box is also available for Panasonic e-bike motors. With this proven tuning tool, you can remove the 25 km/h speed limit of your Panasonic drive in no time at all.

You can easily activate the Badass Box 4 by simply attaching the box and moving the existing spoke magnet a little. If you want to cancel the tuning and restore the original riding characteristics of the e-bike, simply remove the box again and move the spoke magnet to its original position. This can be done within seconds.

By the way, the Badass Box 4 is the best version of this proven tuning tool to date. New features include the redesigned housing and a patented snap lock that makes it even faster to put on and take off. The range of the Badass Box has also been increased: Thanks to the included 1.5V AAA battery, this is now over 7,000 km (or 1 year due to battery discharge). The battery can of course be changed easily (without tools). Replacement batteries can be bought inexpensively almost everywhere. For even better protection against moisture and mechanical stress, the electronics of the Badass Box are now additionally glued into the housing with a special potting compound and completely sealed.

Badass Box 4 for Panasonic - Functionality

After insertion, the badass Box transmits a modified signal from the speed sensor so that the factory 25 km/h speed limit is lifted. This is done without contact, i.e. without any electrical connection to the engine - there is no intervention in the engine electronics or software. Thus, there is no risk that the engine could be damaged.

Please note that when tuning is activated, the current speed and derived values are no longer displayed correctly.

Badass Box 4 Panasonic Installation:

The installation of the Badass Box 4 is quite simple. For example, it is not necessary to open the engine.

You only have to mount the Badass Box 4 over the Panasonic speed sensor next to the rear wheel. As soon as the snap lock engages, the box is securely attached to the sensor.

It is recommended that you replace the spoke magnet screw with the supplied Toolfree screw for tool-free relocation during initial installation. After the Badass Box has been placed on the sensor, the spoke magnet only needs to be moved to the edge of the housing in the direction of the snap lock - and the process is complete! Now the tuning is active; there is no 25 km/h speed limit any more.

When you have removed the box again, you must move the spoke magnet back to its original position. Then the tuning is cancelled.
