A practical tuning module with various optimisation options. The core function is of course the removal of the 25 km/h speed limit of GIANT Syncdrive Sport / Pro / Life / Core e-bikes (from model year 2017). But VOLspeed does even more: for example, you can increase the desired maximum speed to an individual value (25-45 km/h) or adjust the wheel circumference individually, resulting in a more accurate speed display and improved distance measurement.

A truly unique feature of the VOLspeed Tuning Modules is the option to set a softer "deceleration behaviour" (dynamic mode) - this means that the motor support no longer stops so abruptly when the set maximum speed is reached. This reduces the annoying "wall effect", resulting in a much more relaxed driving experience.

All settings can be made conveniently via the control buttons on the display, you don't need a PC or smartphone for this.

VOLspeed is a module that has to be connected to the engine invisibly from the outside. No cables have to be modified or damaged, so that the original condition of the e-bike can be restored at any time.

New features for even more comfort

The new VOLspeed V4 offers a number of improvements that were not available in the previous version (VOLspeed V3). For example, thanks to "Plug & Ride", the module is immediately ready for operation after installation, and for the first time an individual activation code can be set.

-25 km/h speed limit is removed.

-Maximum speed can be set to an individual value via the arrow keys (from 25 km/h to 45 km/h). This has the advantage that by moderately increasing the speed limit, e.g. to 32 km/h, a still very sporty riding style can be realised with moderate battery consumption.

-Correct display of speed, distance travelled and average speed.

-New: Plug & Ride - The module initialises automatically and is immediately ready for operation after installation.

-Dynamic mode: You can set a softer stopping behaviour (motor support no longer stops so abruptly when the set maximum speed is reached).

-Tuning can be switched on and off using the control buttons on the handlebars (after switching on the e-bike, the VOLspeed module is initially always switched off).

-New: Individual activation code can be set.

-Wheel circumference precisely adjustable (+/- 10%). This allows a more accurate speed indication and improved distance measurement.

-Correct total mileage, even after removing the VOLspeed module (this is possible because the module tracks the kilometres in the engine control unit).

-Compatible with all e-bikes with GIANT Syncdrive Pro, Sport, Core or Life drive systems from model year 2017 to 2022.

-Compatible with EVO, EVO-SG, CHARGE and PLUS displays.

-Compatible with control units ONE, DASH 2 IN 1-SG, ERGO-SG & ERGO2-SG.

Notes about compatibility:

-This VOLspeed module is compatible with the motors listed above, provided they support up to 25 km/h ex-factory. The module does not work with GIANT motors that only support up to 20 km/h (youth e-bikes) or up to 45 km/h (S-pedelecs) ex-works.

-To use all functions of the VOLspeed Tuning Module, the display of speed and total kilometres is required.

Important note on assembly:

The tuning module must be connected to the electrical connections in the upper area of the engine. Depending on the model, these may already be accessible when the lower engine cover is removed. If this is not the case, you must also detach the motor from the frame. In the case of the Syncdrive Pro, it may also be necessary to dismantle the chain ring in order to gain access to the necessary screws.
