sIMPLEk Stick for Yamaha - The first tuning dongle with correct km/h display

The sIMPLEk Stick is a tuning dongle that completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit of Yamaha-powered e-bikes. You can ride much faster with full motor support thanks to this tuning tool. Thanks to the supplied connection cable, the sIMPLEk stick can be attached anywhere on your e-bike, e.g. on the handlebars - you can then switch the tuning on or off at any time by plugging and unplugging the dongle.

We would like to point out that the sIMPLEk stick is a kit that you first have to assemble yourself. However, the assembly is quite simple. It is worth mentioning, however, that the supplied USB plug has to be connected to the circuit board with the help of a soldering iron.

A special feature of the sIMPLEk stick is that it is the first tuning dongle where - despite activated tuning - the correct speed can still be read on the e-bike display. Up to 10 km/h, the speed is displayed 1:1. Above 10 km/h it is displayed via the second digit and the decimal place.

5.6 km/h -> 5.6 km/h

10.0 km/h -> 10 km/h

10.5 km/h -> 5 km/h

13.5 km/h -> 35 km/h

Maximum speed and distance travelled / total distance are also correctly indicated (but only after a little over 1 minute at standstill).

Note: In order to be able to read the actual speed for each wheel circumference when tuning is activated, a one-time calibration must be carried out when using the sIMPLEk Stick for the first time.

There are 2 operating modes for the Yamaha sIMPLEk Stick:

1) Tuning mode (unlimited support, theoretically up to 100 km/h).

2) Calibration mode

The sIMPLEk stick is made in Germany.

Please note:

The sIMPLEk stick for Yamaha is supplied in the form of a kit consisting of 4 parts (circuit board, USB connector, connection cable, housing). However, as the board is already equipped with SMD components when delivered, the assembly is quite simple. You only have to solder the USB connector to the board. After that, you only have to insert the board into the USB housing and the dongle is assembled.

Now you have to open the engine cover and connect the connection cable of the sIMPLEk stick in front of the original sensor (sIMPLEk has to be connected between engine and speed sensor). You can attach the sIMPLEk stick to a position of your choice on your e-bike, e.g. directly on the handlebars, using the USB connection cable and the cable ties provided. This makes it easy to connect or remove the stick at any time.
