sIMPLEk Stick for Bosch - The tuning dongle with correct km/h display

The sIMPLEk Stick is a tuning dongle that allows you to remove the 25 km/h speed limit of Bosch e-bikes. This allows you to ride much faster with full motor support.

Please note that the sIMPLEk Stick is a do-it-yourself dongle. You will need to use a soldering iron to connect the supplied USB connector to the circuit board. However, the assembly is quite simple. Thanks to the supplied connection cable, you can attach the stick to a position of your choice on the e-bike - preferably directly on the handlebars.

To activate the tuning mode, you simply have to plug in the sIMPLEk stick (after installing the wiring) - and the 25 km/h speed limit of the motor assistance is lifted. Even when tuning is activated, the correct speed can still be read:

Up to 10 km/h, the speed is output 1:1. Above 10 km/h it is displayed via the second digit and the decimal place.

5.6 km/h -> 5.6 km/h

10.0 km/h -> 10 km/h

10.5 km/h -> 5 km/h

13.5 km/h -> 35 km/h

Maximum speed and distance travelled / total distance are also correctly indicated (but only after a little over 1 minute at standstill).

Note: In order to be able to read the actual speed in tuning mode for each wheel circumference, a one-time calibration must be carried out when using the stick for the first time.

There are thus 2 operating modes for the sIMPLEk stick:

1) Tuning mode (unlimited support, theoretically up to 100 km/h).

2) Calibration mode

- Bosch (Classic Line, Active Line, Performance Line, Performance Line CX).

- Also compatible with Bosch Gen 4 (model year 2020/2021).

Not compatible with Bosch Smart System 2022 (BES3).

The sIMPLEk Stick is Made in Germany.

Please note: As already mentioned, the sIMPLEk Stick is delivered in the form of a kit, but it only consists of 4 components: circuit board, connection cable, USB connector and housing. Since the board is already equipped with SMD components when delivered, assembly is relatively simple. You only have to insert and solder the USB connector. Then the board must be inserted into the housing.

Then the connection cable of the sIMPLEk stick must be connected in front of the original sensor of the e-bike. To do this, first remove the crank and open the motor cover, for which you will need additional tools. The sIMPLEk stick can be attached to a position of your choice, e.g. directly on the handlebar, using the connection cable and the cable ties supplied. This makes it easy to connect or disconnect the stick at any time.
