VOLspeed V3 tuning module for most e-bikes / pedelecs with Yamaha drive system

Suitable for the motor types PW-X / PW-X2 / PW-SE / PW-ST / PW-TE, PW-CE & Air Drive of all model years (also 2023 / 2024...).

Compatible with all displays:  Display A (Sideswitch), Display B, Display C (Multiswitch), Display X and Interface X.

NOT compatible with Yamaha PW, Yamaha PW-S2 and Yamaha PW-X3 (in this case, please choose the VOLspeed V3 for Yamaha PW-S2 & Yamaha PW-X3 or the VOLspeed V2 for Yamaha PW).

Attention: Not compatible with Yamaha brand eBikes, e.g.:

Yamaha Moro 07 (in this case please select the VOLspeed V3 for Yamaha Moro 07).
Yamaha CrossCore RC / RX
Yamaha Wabash RT
Yamaha Booster / Booster Easy

The module is installed invisibly on the drive motor from the outside. No cables need to be damaged or modified, the module is simply plugged in and is immediately ready for operation.

No PC or smartphone is required. All settings are made conveniently via the display on the bike.

There is the possibility to set both the speed limit, and the wheel circumference via the display.

In contrast to the almost complete removal of the motor's speed limit in other tuning modules, this module still allows a very sporty riding style with moderate battery consumption by only slightly increasing the limit, e.g. to 32km/h. The so-called ‘dynamic mode’ can be set to reduce the abrupt stopping of the motor assistance when the set maximum speed is reached. This results in a much more pleasant driving experience.

New in the now third version of the module is the possibility to set an own code for activation. In addition, setup is no longer required after installation. The module is immediately ready for operation.

Note for bikes with Interface X: This tuning module can also be used with Interface X. In this case, the tuning settings and operating statuses are displayed via the LED display for the battery - so the tuning can be used without an extra display or smartphone. An additional display is only required for the optional setting of an individual activation code or the wheel circumference (an ANT+ LEV-compatible display that shows the speed and total mileage is required).

Functions

• New: Automatic initialisation, immediately ready for operation after installation.
• Tuning can be switched on and off via the arrow keys on the control unit.
• After switching on, the control speed can be freely set in the range 25 - 45km/h via the arrow keys. The last set value is saved.
• Tuning is always switched off after switching on the bike.
• Setting of a "softer down-regulation behaviour" possible (dynamic mode). The otherwise very abrupt downshifting at the speed limit is thereby significantly softened.

• Adjustment of the wheel circumference possible.
• Correct display of speed, distance covered, average and maximum speed at all times.
• When tuning is active, the remaining range calculation takes into account not only the battery charge level and the selected support level, but also the current riding style / battery consumption.
• Correct total kilometre reading of the bike even after removing the tuning module, as the kilometres in the motor control are tracked by the tuning module.
