With PearTune 4.0, Yamaha PW-X3 & PW-S2 e-bike motors can be optimised in many ways. The most important function is, of course, the removal of the 25 km/h speed limit - accordingly, "MSO" stands for nothing other than "Max Speed Off". Even when the tuning is active, the display continues to show the correct speed.
But the PearTune 4.0 offers much more: For example, the speed limit is not simply lifted, the maximum speed can even be set to an individually desired value using the control buttons on the e-bike. The advantage: if you increase the maximum supported speed only slightly, e.g. from 25 to 35 km/h, you benefit from a much speedier ride without the energy consumption increasing too much straight away.
Particularly worth mentioning is the so-called "chip-lock" function. With this feature, the PearTune 4.0 can be made virtually "invisible". External parties can then no longer recognise that a tuning module has been installed (in this case, the e-bike and display function completely normally and the tuning can temporarily no longer be activated).
The PearTune MSO 4.0 module must be connected to the drive between the motor and the display and between the motor and the magnetic speed sensor. To facilitate installation, the module has been equipped with matching original plugs ("Plug & Play" principle). The tuning can be switched on and off at any time via the operating buttons.

25 km/h speed limit is completely removed.
Maximum speed individually adjustable: The maximum speed can be individually adjusted using the control buttons on the e-bike.
Correct speed indication in the display, even when tuning is switched on.
Chip lock ("Lock the Chip" function): With this function, the tuning module can be made practically invisible. If the chip lock is switched on via the operating buttons on the e-bike, the tuning chip is locked on the software side so that no one can see that a tuning tool is installed. In this case, the e-bike and display function as normal and the tuning cannot be switched on. Unlocking is only possible again by means of a special key combination.
Chip activation: You can switch the tuning chip on or off at any time by briefly pressing the light button twice. When switching on and off, the display briefly shows whether the tuning has actually been switched on or off for confirmation (displayed number 9.9 or 9/2.5 or 2 for few seconds after activation/deactivation).
Tuning status when switching on: With PearTune 4.0 you can set whether the tuning should be automatically turned on or off when the e-bike is switched on.
Chip reset: You can perform a chip reset, e.g. if you want to replace the speed sensor or use the tuning chip on another e-bike. The factory settings can be restored during the reset. Alternatively, you can keep the previous chip settings.
Adding the correct kilometres travelled: When tuning is switched on, the real distance travelled is no longer displayed while riding. You can now set how the missing kilometres are to be recalculated or added - e.g. only when stopping, or also as an addition during the journey and when stopping, etc.
Switching between Normal and Still On version possible (with the Still On version, the tuning is always active as soon as the e-bike is switched on / suitable for e-bikes without the necessary control buttons).
The module does not require its own battery (power is supplied via the display connector).
Plug & Play: For easy installation, the tuning module is equipped with original plugs.
Small, compact and light: The module is very small and therefore easy to install. The weight is only 12g.
PearTune MSO 4.0 for Yamaha - Compatibility
This tuning tool is compatible with e-bikes with the following Yamaha Powerdrive (PW) systems:
Yamaha PW-X3 from model year 2022 onwards.
Yamaha PW-S2 engines.
Compatible displays: Display A (Sideswitch), Display C (Multiswitch) and Display X.

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer
Please transfer the total amount with your order number to our account which you received in the confirmation email. Please note that bank transfers within Germany can take up to three working days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.

At the end of the order process you will be redirected to the page of Paypal. There you can initiate your payment. As soon as the Paypal transaction is completed, the status of your order will change in the store. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
