This tuning tool removes the speed limit of Shimano EP-8 motors - "MSO" stands for nothing else than "Max Speed Off"!
The Shimano STEPS EP-8 motor is the long-awaited successor of the popular E8000 motor. Compared to its predecessor, the EP-8 is not only smaller and lighter, it also has an enormous torque of 85 Nm - and thus over 20 percent more power!
Unfortunately, the enormous power of this drive is limited by the preset 25 km/h speed limit. But this is where the PearTune MSO chip comes into play. This is a tuning module that has to be connected to the EP8 motor. Once this is done, the speed limit can be lifted at any time by pressing a button, so that the engine can actively support you even at much higher speeds. This means you can finally enjoy unlimited driving fun without limits!
With active tuning, the e-bike display shows the correct speed up to a speed of approx. 23 km/h, after that the displayed speed is "frozen". This means that approx. 23-25 km/h will always be displayed, even if you are riding much faster in reality.

Installation
The PearTune MSO 3.0 is a microcontroller-based module that must be connected to the motor using the two black cables between the magnetic speed sensor and the motor. To do this, the motor cover must be temporarily removed. The connection to the motor is made using original connecting plugs. If the light function of your e-bike is enabled and you want to use the option of deactivating / activating the tuning via the light function, you must also connect the red cable to the "+" port.
If you have an e-bike WITHOUT an activated light function or without a display, you can ignore the red cable. You do not have to connect it. In this case, the tuning remains permanently active as long as the e-bike is switched on.
After installation, the module configures itself automatically, you do not need to do anything else.
You can remove the PearTune module at any time if you want to restore the e-bike to its original condition. This will not leave any traces on the e-bike.

ATTENTION: NOT compatible with EP6 and EP801 motors! In this case, please select the "PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano EP801/EP6".
Tip: If you have a Shimano EP8 / EP8 RS e-bike without a light function or without a display, you can also choose this tuning tool in the special "StillOn" version - this means that the tuning will be always active as long as the e-bike is switched on (the tuning cannot be deactivated).
Tips:
Before installing the PearTune module in a brand new e-bike, you should first ride the bike for at least 1 km.
The manufacturer expressly advises against software updates, as the tuning may then no longer function properly.

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer
Please transfer the total amount with your order number to our account which you received in the confirmation email. Please note that bank transfers within Germany can take up to three working days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.
Payment in advance Paypal
At the end of the order process you will be redirected to the page of Paypal. There you can initiate your payment. As soon as the Paypal transaction is completed, the status of your order will change in the store. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
