The most sophisticated version of this popular tuning module to date, now also compatible with the very latest Shimano drivetrains and updates. After installation, the PearTune 3.0 MSO completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit, so that your Shimano motor can finally unfold its full potential. You will see: Without the speed limit, riding an e-bike is twice as much fun!

The advantage of this tuning module is that it is easy to install. After switching on the e-bike, the tuning is always automatically ON. The tuning can then be deactivated or reactivated at any time by pressing the light button or via the light function in the e-bike menu ("light off - tuning on, light on - tuning off"). If your e-bike does not have a light button (or the light function has not been activated), the tuning always remains active as long as the bike is switched on.

Important note: When tuning is active, the e-bike display will only show half of the real speed. This means that if your speedometer shows (e.g.) 22 km/h, you are actually riding at a speed of 44 km/h, etc.

PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano - The advantages at a glance

-25 km/h speed limit is completely eliminated ("MSO" stands for "Max Speed Off").

- Tuning is automatically activated when the e-bike is switched on (=speed limit is cancelled).

- If you have an e-bike with the light function enabled, you can switch the tuning off or on again at any time using the light button on the display (light on = PearTune off, light off = PearTune on). Alternatively, you can also control the tuning via the light control function in the e-bike menu.

- If your e-bike has no light function or no display, the tuning remains active as long as the e-bike is switched on. The tuning cannot be deactivated.

- Easy installation: The PearTune module simply needs to be connected between the magnetic speed sensor and the motor unit ("plug and play"). After installation, the module configures itself, you don't need to do anything else. If you have a Shimano e-bike with activated light function and want to use the option of switching the tuning on and off via the light function, you must also connect the red cable to the "+" port.

If you have a Shimano e-bike drive without activated light function, you can ignore the red cable and you don´t have to insert it, as the tuning is automatically activated when the bike is switched on (and cannot be deactivated anyway).

-The power is supplied via the light connection of the e-bike; you do not need a separate battery.

PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano - Compatibility

This PearTune module is compatible with the following Shimano e-bike drive systems:

E8000, E7000, E6001, E6002, E6010, E6012, E6020, E6100, E6101, E5000.

Compatible with all displays for the mentioned drives.

The PearTune MSO 3.0 is even compatible with the newer Shimano software versions (version 4.1.11 / January 2024).

Please note:

The red cable must only be connected to the "+" port on the motor on Shimano e-bikes with the light function enabled. This gives you the option of switching the tuning off and on again at any time using the light button (or via the light function in the menu).

If you have a Shimano e-bike without an activated light function or without display, you can ignore the red cable (i.e. it does not need to be connected). The tuning is then permanently active as soon as you switch on the E-Bike.

This tuning tool is manufactured in the Czech Republic.

Tips:

Before installing the PearTune module in a brand new e-bike, you should first ride the bike for at least 1 km.

The manufacturer expressly advises against software updates, as the tuning may then no longer function properly.
