A microcontroller-based sensor solution for e-bikes with Shimano Steps mid-mounted motors. This tuning tool completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit so that you can finally enjoy the full potential of your Shimano motor. The MBIQ-S is therefore reduced to the absolute essentials, namely the removal of the speed limit - there are no further functions. The installation of the tool is easy, as you basically only have to replace the speed sensor of your e-bike with the MBIQ-S.
You don't need an extra battery for the MBIQ-S.
How it works
After connecting the tuning tool, the MBIQ-S analyses the current speed profile and forwards manipulated sensor values. Speeds of more than 25 km/h are blocked for the engine firmware, so that the speed limit of the engine is cancelled.
Important note: Due to this special mode of operation, the speedometer of your e-bike will no longer display the correct speed from a speed of approx. 22 km/h onwards. To be precise, the displayed speed will then always be ≤ 25 km/h.
By the way, the evaluation of the motor software is not affected in any way by the manipulated values / no detection.
Three operating modes
Unlike previous models, the MBIQ-S can be programmed by the customer. The individual operating modes can be selected by certain wheel movements when the e-bike is switched on. You can choose between three different operating modes:
-Tuning is always on (the speed limit is permanently removed, from approx. 22-25 km/h the displayed speed no longer corresponds to the real speed).
-Tuning is permanently switched off (the speed limit is not lifted, engine support up to 25 km/h with real speed display).
-Tuning after switch-on condition: To switch on tuning, the magnet must be in front of the sensor for approx. 3-4 seconds during start-up, otherwise tuning is deactivated. This can be useful, for example, if you want to switch off the tuning before a workshop visit (the sensor solution is quasi invisible in this case).

Easy installation
The installation of this tuning tool is easy, as you basically only need to replace the original speed sensor with the MBIQ-S.
You will find the sensor on the rear frame, often next to the quick release axle. Depending on the manufacturer, the sensor cable is often routed through the frame. The connector end is plugged into the engine compartment, which is usually protected by a plastic cover.
Depending on the manufacturer and type, it may be necessary to loosen the motor in order to pull out the sensor cable and insert the MBIQ-S. On some e-bike types, the sensor cable runs through the frame and must be pulled out carefully. The cable of the MBIQ-S must then be fed through the frame in the same way using a pull wire.
Since the appearance of the MBIQ-S is kept absolutely neutral, your e-bike will not be changed visually in any way by the tuning.
Tip: We recommend that you keep the original sensor of the e-bike so that you can restore the original condition of the bike if necessary.
Robust & insensitive to moisture
Compared to previous models, the quality of the housing parts of the MBIQ-S has been significantly improved. Thanks to the electronics encapsulated in the sensor, the MBIQ-S is extremely insensitive to dirt and moisture.

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer
Please transfer the total amount with your order number to our account which you received in the confirmation email. Please note that bank transfers within Germany can take up to three working days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.
