SpeedBox 3.0 for OLI

This is a third generation tuning chip that completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit of OLI e-bikes. This enables much faster riding with full motor support. At the same time, the e-bike display shows real values. It is particularly interesting that you can even set the level of the speed limit to an individually preferred value.

The SpeedBox 3.0 is a chip or module that needs to be connected to the motor.

No more speed limit

The SpeedBox 3.0 tuning chip completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit of OLI e-bike drives, so that (theoretically) unlimited speeds can be reached with full motor support.

Real values in the e-bike display

Even with active tuning, the e-bike display shows real data, such as top speed, average speed, range and daily distance.

Tuning can be switched on and off

You can switch tuning on and off using the control buttons on the display. Pressing the WALK button briefly activates the tuning. To confirm that the speed limit has been lifted, the display briefly shows 9.9 km/h.

If you want to switch the tuning off, simply press the WALK button again briefly. The display briefly shows 2.5 km/h to confirm that the tuning has been cancelled. Now the assisted speed ends, as usual, at 25 km/h - the e-bike will then function normally again.

Another possibility to activate / deactivate the tuning is the key combination ↓ ↑ ↓ ↑.

Setting the speed limit freely

With the SpeedBox 3.0 for OLI there is the option to set the maximum supported speed to a desired value. This works by switching the modes three steps down and then three steps up (---+++). A displayed speed of 1.5 km / h corresponds to a maximum speed of 15 km/h, 2.0 corresponds to a maximum speed of 20 km/h, 2.5 corresponds to a maximum speed of 25 km/h, 3.0 corresponds to a maximum speed of 30 km/h, and so on. You can change the maximum speed by briefly pressing the WALK button or by turning the rear wheel 360°. The last speed limit displayed is automatically saved after 5 seconds of inactivity.

Installation

You simply need to connect the SpeedBox 3.0 chip to the connectors on the motor (connectors on the cable from the motor to the speed sensor and from the motor to the display). To do this, you must temporarily dismantle some components of the e-bike so that you gain access to the corresponding plug connections.

To simplify the installation, SpeedBox uses coloured connectors that are equipped with a key for correct connection.

If you want to return the e-bike to its original condition, you can remove the chip at any time.

Important note: If you want to install the SpeedBox chip in a brand new e-bike, you must first ride the bike for at least 1 km before switching on the tuning chip for the first time.
