Yamaha Syncdrive
Here we present an overview of e-bike tuning for GIANT SyncDrive mid-mounted motors. The world-famous bike manufacturer GIANT presented the first SyncDrive drivetrain in 2017. The system is based on a 70 Nm e-bike motor from Yamaha, but GIANT has equipped it with its own software. A special feature of the GIANT SyncDrive drive was the "Zero Cadence Support", in which the motor delivers thrust with the first crank revolution (without any delay). In the course of time, further versions of the GIANT SyncDrive motors were continuously introduced to the market, whereby a special highlight was the SyncDrive Pro, which was especially optimised for E-MTBs. This drive is based on the powerful Yamaha PW-X motor (80 Nm & support up to 360 %). The dynamic GIANT SyncDrive Sport drive is also a real power package that is used especially for trekking and touring e-bikes (80 Nm). The GIANT SyncDrive Life, on the other hand, has "only" 60 Nm.
Almost all GIANT Yamaha Syncdrive motors, such as Pro, Life, Core and Sport, can be optimised. Also GIANT Yamaha Syncdrive C (Syncdrive Sport) with Ride Control Sport Display and GIANT Yamaha Syncdrive C 2015 & 2016 motors. Also the new Syncdrive Pro 2 motors.
