GIANT SyncDrive Tuning – Yamaha Inside, GIANT Optimized

GIANT SyncDrive motors are custom-tuned mid-drive systems based on Yamaha hardware, but fine-tuned by GIANT with proprietary software and display integration. These motors deliver a smooth, powerful ride and are featured across the entire GIANT and LIV e-bike lineup – from city bikes to high-performance e-MTBs.

Supported motor types include:

• SyncDrive Life / Sport / Core / Active / Pro
• SyncDrive Pro2 – based on the Yamaha PW-X3 platform

These systems are typically paired with GIANT RideControl displays or LED remotes.

Currently, only hardware-based tuning modules are available for SyncDrive systems. These tools:

• Remove the 25 km/h (15.5 mph) speed limit
• Are plug & play, installed at the motor or speed sensor
• Require no software or diagnostics
• Are fully reversible and easy to deactivate
