We have relatively little useful information about e-novation e-bike motors. However, we do know that the classic e-novation drives are based on motors from Bafang, a successful Chinese manufacturer of complete systems and system components for e-bikes and e-scooters. The e-novation mid-mounted motors are considered to be particularly low-priced and are installed in Prophete e-bikes, for example. Generally, the e-novation motors do not make any special demands on the e-bike frame and can therefore be installed without serious problems. They are quite similar to the motors that are also used to convert conventional bicycles into motorised e-bikes.
In addition to the standard e-novation drives, there are also the e-novation Premium motors, which are supposed to be manufactured by the Taiwanese bicycle component manufacturer TranzX. These are brushless 250 W motors with coaster brake and starting aid.
Can e-novation e-bike motors be optimised?
Yes, there are also first tuning solutions for e-novation e-bike motors available. However, since these motors are not among the most common e-bike drive systems, the number of tuning tools is still very limited.
