Display Behavior After Unlocking
When unlocking Bosch Gen2 to Gen4 motors, your e-bike display will show half of your actual speed after tuning. This is a normal side-effect of Bosch’s internal speed management and does not impact ride quality or motor function. Bosch Gen1 systems with Intuvia display will continue to show full, accurate speed data. No error codes (e.g., 504) will occur after using the EBT Unlock Key.
Legal Note
Unlocking removes the factory speed limit of 25 km/h. In most countries, this means your e-bike is no longer classified as a pedelec and cannot be used legally on public roads without registration, insurance, and a driving license. Use is permitted only on private property or closed courses. Buyer assumes full legal responsibility.
