Shimano
The Japanese company Shimano is without doubt one of the most important manufacturers of high-quality bicycle components and accessories worldwide. As early as 2010, Shimano presented its first own e-bike drive system called "STEPS" ("Shimano Total Electric Power Systems"), consisting of motor, battery, bike computer, chain and crank set. In the meantime, well-known brands such as Hercules and Falter rely on this system and install Shimano mid-mounted motors in their e-bikes. An excellent tuning option would be the tried and tested Badass Box 4. Other solutions: PearTune, SpeedBox and the MBIQ tuning tools. An outstanding feature of the app-controlled RedPed module is the numerous setting options (available for Shimano E5000, E6100, E7000, E8000, EP-8...). The RedPed 2 module, Peartune and the MBIQ sensor also work together with the new EP-8 motor. Here you will find the most recommended tuning tools for Shimano e-bikes with E5000, E6100, E7000, E8000 and EP-8 motors:
