Bosch Gen4

Here you can find tuning tools for Bosch Gen4 drives with integrated anti-tuning detection - e.g. for Bosch Performance Line (+ CX) and Bosch Cargo Line (Gen4, year of manufacture from 2020). Important: Bosch e-bikes of the series Active Line and Performance Line (Gen2, year of manufacture from 2014), Performance Line CX (Gen2, year of manufacture from 2015 and from 2017) as well as Active Line Plus (Gen3, year of manufacture from 2017), contain, from firmware version 1.8.4.0 of the Drive Unit (DU) onwards, also an anti-tuning detection and therefore also require tuning products for Bosch Gen4 motors. All the solutions we have compiled here are also downward compatible, so they can be used for all Bosch Gen2 and Gen3 engines, too - i.e. also for older models.

We recommend: Do not carry out updates thoughtlessly. So far, the latest versions of the tuning solutions RedPed, VOLspeed, PearTune, SpeedBox and Badass Box show very few error messages with the Bosch motors. The RedPed tuning tool in particular works excellently. Overall, caution is always advised, because the anti-tuning measures could be activated later in your Bosch e-bike as part of software updates, e.g. during inspections. With all solutions, it is important not to exceed the 35 km/h limit permanently.
