MBIQ-P for Brose / Specialized (Levo)
The MBIQ-P is a microcontroller-based tuning module for removing the 25 km/h speed limit on various Specialized e-bikes. The tool is a plug-in solution that must be inserted between the motor and speed sensor. Unlocking the e-bikes enables significantly faster riding with full motor support.
Tuning can be switched on and off by means of certain wheel movements when the e-bike is being started up. The level of maximum motor support can also be set. Neither a PC nor a smartphone is required to control the module.
When tuning is active, the e-bike display no longer shows the correct speed from approx. 22 km/h (manipulated values).
The MBIQ-P does not require its own battery, as the power is supplied by the e-bike.
The module is also completely maintenance-free. The electronics are safely moulded into the module housing so that no moisture can penetrate (IPX4 in accordance with EN 60529).
Programmable
With the MBIQ-P, the tuning can be programmed to a certain extent so that the tuning can be switched on and off as required. Programming is carried out by means of certain wheel movements when the e-bike is started up, during which the spoke magnet must be moved past the sensor.
The following modes can be set:
Mode 1: Tuning permanently activated (factory setting): The 25 km/h speed limit is completely cancelled. No correct speed display from approx. 20-22 km/h onwards.
Mode 2: Tuning permanently deactivated: Speed limitation to 25 km/h. The e-bike functions as if no tuning was installed (correct speed display).
Mode 3: Activation according to switch-on condition: Here you can decide when switching on the e-bike whether the tuning should be active or not. To activate the tuning, the magnet must be in front of the sensor for at least 4 seconds while the bike is being switched on. This is also achieved by means of certain wheel movements.
The maximum assisted top speed (Vmax) can also be set in a similar way.
Note: Programming is not absolutely necessary, as the module is delivered in ‘Tuning permanently activated’ mode (with the highest support level).

Installation
The MBIQ-P tuning module must be plugged between the existing sensor cable and the motor (integration into the current path of the existing speed sensor). To gain access to the plug connection, the motor cover must be removed briefly. In many cases, a pedal crank must also be removed.
In most cases, the module can be stowed in the connection area of the motor. It can also be stored in the frame tube, but this usually requires the motor to be detached from the frame.
After installation, the tuning module is not visible from the outside.
If necessary, the tuning can be removed again and the original condition of the e-bike is restored.
Tools required (not included in the scope of delivery):
-Cross-head screwdriver
-Hot air dryer (for the heat-shrink tubing)
Depending on the motor cover, a Torx or another Allen key may also be required.
If the pedal crank needs to be removed, a suitable crank puller is required.
Mode of operation
The MBIQ-P is a tuning module that works on the principle of speed manipulation (no halving). It processes the current speed profile and passes on manipulated values, eliminating the 25 km/h limit. There is no direct intervention in the communication of the system.

This MBIQ-S tuning tool is compatible with various Specialized (Levo) mid-drive motors - it should be noted that Specialized drives are based on motors from the German manufacturer Brose, but have been equipped with their own Specialized software.

Shipping costs
The shipping costs for Germany are 3,50 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 180 Euro. For countries within the EU the shipping costs are 9,90 Euro. The shipping costs are waived from an order value of 300 Euro. We ask you to cover the cost of any return shipment yourself. Please note that customs fees may apply in third countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value
The minimum order value is 25 Euro. Only from this amount you can use prepayment or PayPal and bank transfer as payment methods.
Maximum order value
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is 1.000 Euro. The maximum order value within the EU is 12.500 Euro.
Payment in advance bank transfer
Please transfer the total amount with your order number to our account which you received in the confirmation email. Please note that bank transfers within Germany can take up to three working days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria and Switzerland, usually arrive very quickly. From other countries, transfers can take a little longer on average.
Payment in advance Paypal
At the end of the order process you will be redirected to the page of Paypal. There you can initiate your payment. As soon as the Paypal transaction is completed, the status of your order will change in the store. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.

Important: Tuning e-bikes means that they can no longer be used on public roads. Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or, where permitted, in competitions. Riding an e-bike modified by tuning on public roads can lead to criminal charges for riding without a licence and riding without insurance.
