Sachs e-bike motors are considered to be extremely powerful power packs, but unfortunately the riding pleasure is diminished by the preset 25 km/h speed limit. This is where the Badass Box 4 for Sachs can help, because this ingenious tuning tool simply removes the annoying speed limit completely. The 25 km/h limit is now a thing of the past and you can finally enjoy the full power of your Sachs drive!

Contactless E-Bike Tuning

After attaching the box, it transmits a modified signal so that the 25 km/h speed limit is lifted. This happens contactless, without any intervention in the motor electronics or software. Since there is no electrical connection to the engine, it cannot be damaged unintentionally.

A great advantage of the Badass Box 4 is that you can restore the original state of the e-bike at any time and in just a few seconds: Simply pull off the box and move the spoke magnet to its original position - and the e-bike will have its original riding characteristics back and the motor assistance will end at 25 km/h again.

Important note: Due to the special function of the Badass Box 4, an incorrect speed will be shown on the e-bike display when tuning is active (this also applies to values derived from it).

Therefore, our tip: Simply use mobile, GPS-based additional devices such as bike computers or smartphones to display the correct speed.

For the best possible protection against mechanical stress and moisture, each Badass box is glued into the housing with a special potting compound and completely sealed. Each box is tested for correct functionality before and after potting. By the way, the potting compound comes from the automotive industry.

Advantages over previous versions

Compared to the previous versions, the Badass Box 4 has been optimised in many ways, which is why it is the best version of this tuning tool ever:

- The housing has been completely redesigned and made slimmer, so that there can no longer be any installation situations that are too tight (the sensor application is now only a minimum of 3 mm).

- The O-ring of the previous version has been replaced by a new, patented snap lock, so that the box is easier to put on and take off than ever before.

- At the customer's request, an optional cable tie fastener is now provided on the snap lock.

- The previous CR2 battery has been replaced by a more powerful AAA battery. This has a very long range and only needs to be replaced after more than 7000 km or once a year. You don't need any tools to change the battery, and suitable replacement batteries are available almost everywhere. The high range is made possible by the specially developed, patented FEET field enhancement & elimination technology.

Easy installation

The Badass Box 4 for Sachs is easy to install and can be removed just as quickly. Unlike some other e-bike tuning tools, the motor does not have to be opened to install the box.

You simply have to mount the Badass Box over the Sachs speed sensor next to the rear wheel. As soon as the snap lock engages, the box is securely attached to the sensor. If desired, you can additionally secure the Badass Box with a cable tie.

For initial installation, we recommend replacing the spoke magnet screw with the supplied lug screw. This allows you to move the magnet in the future without any tools. After placing the Badass Box on the sensor, the spoke magnet must be moved in the direction of the snap lock. When the spoke magnet touches the box, the magnet must be placed as close as possible to the box and turned by 90° - this completes the installation.

To undo the tuning, simply remove the box again and move the spoke magnet back to its original position - thanks to the lug screw, this can be done quickly and without tools. The e-bike is then back in its original condition.
